And there we have it! One last sunny weekend and Summer went out in a blaze of glory!
The flip flops and sandals are teetering on the edge of unwearable, yet I am not ready for a full length knee high boot either! The vest tops have been consigned to ‘just vests’ yet I am eyeing the knits cautiously – one false move and we could peak too soon with those – some days are still tricking us – cold mornings and then nature throws a curve ball by lunch time and the knit that seemed a great idea earlier is now hotter than the surface of the sun.
So, here are a few handy pieces I found in Very, that I am loving at the moment – during the transitional phase when everyone is confused and no one knows what to wear anymore!
Jeans are back! Not that they went anywhere but they are a seasonal staple aren’t they?
I ordered these – they are from Mango – I am a 12 so ordered a 12 – I would say that if you are between sizes, I’d size down as they are really stretchy and there’s alot of give. These are full length on me ( 5ft 4) LINKED HERE (£21)
I was really pleasantly surprised as I always think jeans are a risky thing to order on line – I am glad I ordered them though – they have a lovely high waist and are super comfy. (not that I need more jeans but I like to have a choice haha)
While I am at it – that blouse – it’s a wear with anything little number and looks lovely dressed up or down – I have inked it HERE it’s only £21 at the moment – the cuffs are gorgeous – you know my feelings on a flared cuff! I think it’s a really flattering top AND it doesn’t crease!
I am clinging on to sandals in this pic – but after alot of hunting I found a brilliant ankle boot – I generally don’t like ankle boots that finish straight across the top- I always think if I am wearing them with a skirt it’s not the most flattering look – so I hunted and found THESE
They are from Clarks – and they also come in a lovely distressed brown. As always – I am not up for uncomfy footwear – and these are REALLY comfy. The sweetheart front is super flattering for wearing with skirts should we all ditch our trainers – and they look lovely with thick tights too.
One last little curveball before I go – check this lovely blouse out !
Pink Leopards on a soft pink background – I absolutely love it! The square silver buttons are a nice touch too. Size wise – again this is a 12, but if you are more busty than me (34c) I’d size up.
It’s been a lovely escape from all the builder’s mess and dust – but back to it now!
I hope I have given you a couple of ideas – Very tend to wax and wane on stock so if something I link is showing out of stock in your size, it’s worth keeping an eye as people so send returns back and the stock levels change
thanks for stopping by!
I regularly work with Very so this is an AD – but I only share stuff I like, that I think you’ll like too xxx
